Kitchen Remodel: Forest Charm Meets Modern Elegance

For this remodeling project, the homeowners loved the beautiful forest view from their kitchen. As with many Penn Contractors clients, this was one of several stand-out features in the existing home that initially attracted the owners, and the new design needed to honor those features. The homeowner wanted to enhance the view while keeping the original windows and tile floor. Our design approach included using the forest backdrop and neutral floor and window frame tones as a base while creating better flow in the kitchen and modernizing the space.

New cabinetry in Sherwin-Williams Gibraltar brings a moody elegance to the kitchen, adding depth while harmonizing with the neutral window frames and tile flooring. Reflecting the cool, shadowy tones of the forest view outside, the gray-blue hue creates a seamless connection between the interior and the natural surroundings. Expanding the cabinetry around the appliances creates a more functional, appealing pass-through space.

The stainless steel appliances help update the kitchen, and our team sourced a unique ceiling hood above the island range to ensure the countertop stove is highly functional, offering easy access for cooking while maximizing ventilation and efficiency in the open layout.

Take a look through the project photos to see the resulting kitchen remodel that blends the charm of the home’s original features our clients love, with modern features that enhance both function and style.
